Y’all ready for a party here at the Fillmore you metal fiends?! Day in and day out - we ALWAYS make sure to keep it loud and wild here whenever we’ve got the boys back in town. And this time around?! We’re hyped to welcome one of D.C.’s most legendary exports back to our backyard for a proper hometown hero welcoming here for all the metalheads in the house. That’s ‘cause on Friday, December 12th, Darkest Hour is storming the stage for a once-in-a-lifetime celebration: their 30th Anniversary Tour. Yeah, you read that right — thirty YEARS since these dudes first started melting faces, ripping riffs, and being the OG blueprint of American death metal since we were still in diapers. And now for one night only - Silver Spring is hitting ground zero levels of cool ONCE again for all us to sweat and scream like it's the 1999 ball drop and we’re all just waiting for the rush to hit again. On the 30th Anniversary Tour celebration that they DESERVE. They’ve been taking this madness everywhere: New York, New Hampshire, Boston, Philly, all across the East Coast — and lucky for us, the Fillmore Silver Springs has a date too this winter. The homecoming is actually very real - and you might get major FOMO if you don’t catch this one. So, our only question : y’all ready to party?! 

For 30 years, Darkest Hour have been the heroes of the Maryland underground metal music machine — from their 1995 beginnings to defining albums like Undoing Ruin, Hidden Hands of a Sadist Nation, The Human Romance, and their latest : the 2024 record Perpetual Terminal. They’ve spent decades touring the world and back to home at the end of it all as always. Earning respect from all the people in the major leagues while never losing that east coast edginess. Their catalog? Iconic - but that’s obvious - just take a look at the video we linked below. Their live shows? Warzones but we’ll be okay this time around. Their impact is untouchable, and everyone who's a metalhead would have to agree too. These guys didn’t just influence a scene — they built it with other locals across the state. And now, they’re showing us why they’re still top compared to anyone else.
