Niko Moon is making his way to the Fillmore Silver Spring for one night that is set to change your life! On Friday, February 13th of 2026, Silver Spring, Maryland is going to be the heartbeat of the city. This American country singer, songwriter and producer comes from humble beginnings. His father was a drummer that left his musical career behind to become a truck driver to support his wife who was a waitress and his newborn son, Niko. Niko Moon started playing the drums around the age of 10 after watching his dad relight his fire in their basement. He then started playing for dive bars and pubs where he would have some good shows and some bad ones, some with an audience and some without. 

He frequently recalls one show that changed his life. “I played at a Mexican Restaurant in Atlanta and they had me perform out on the patio where everybody ate, and one day it rained and the manager moved me inside. The problem was, there was really no room to set-up. They put me in the foyer area where people walk-in and where they keep the newspaper rack and stuff. So, I am feeling defeated. But, this kid comes up and starts watching me. I think, ‘Well, at least he likes me.’ He watches me for about five minutes and I finish. When I get done, I ask, ‘Hey, Buddy. Do you like my music?’ He answered, ‘Not really, Man. I just want some gum.’ I realized I was sitting in front of a gumball machine.” He then wondered if music was his true calling but fortunately for us he dipped his toes into the country music theme and has never looked back since then! He still has a gumball machine in his recording studio so that he always remembers how far he has come.
